Alexandra Uusaro writing her Master Thesis at Olofsfors AB
Olofsfors is a market leader in production of plow steel on the global market. We are also working in close cooperation with the mining industry in especially Sweden but also in other countries. Both for plow steel and product applications to the mining industry, our customers demand only the highest quality products produced from boron steel giving long wear life and cost efficient daily use of the products. Therefore Olofsfors AB has started a long term cooperation with LTU(Luleå Technical University) and Boliden Mining company to study wear life and wear time both from practical applications doing field studies as well as more scientific tests in laboratorial environment.

Olofsfors has won the "Manufacturing Industry of the Year" award
Sweden is currently in fifth place in the world in terms of robot density, with 277 robots per 10,000 employees, according to statistics from IFR (International Federation of Robotics). During ABB Robotics Experience Day, December 9, Olofsfors was awarded the honorary award "Manufacturing Industry of the Year".

Press release - 29 companies donate record amounts to cancer research
There were 29 companies that together with the initiator Samsons received the highest bid in Olofsfors pink ribbon auction. SEK 5,000 has been donated by each company and 4 companies have donated as much as SEK 10,000 each to breast cancer research. Shortly after Samsons sent out a call to contribute to cancer research, the first unit buyer called.

Samsons in Vallsta outside Bollnäs has taken the initiative to raise extra money for cancer research via Olofsfors' pink track auction. This is done by donating SEK 5,000 and encouraging other companies to do the same.

The last steel out, when Olofsfors road steel line goes into the grave
Since the start in 1992, 50,000 tonnes of steel have rolled through the old road steel line, which has now done its part. This week, the last road steel rolled through the line that over the years has spit out about 4 million road steels. A journey, the steels laid out one after the other from Olofsfors in the north to Egypt in the south.

Press release - International interest in Olofsfors Pink Track
The 2018 pink track aroused great interest at the fair in Estonia where the track has been shown. MFO OÛ, the winner of the latest auction, wanted to create an international interest and commitment to support cancer research. They have thus sold the track on with the goal of donating the entire sum again to cancer research in Estonia.
